Maguy studied film at the University of Southern California. She met the head of Warner music while in school and was offered a job on the spot. Maguy was trained in classical music. Several months later, she became head of the Music Scoring Stage for Warner Bros. Studios. She manages 150 musicians per films plus assists composers such as Danny Elfman, Hans Zimmer, Cater Burwell, and Lisa Gerrard.

She left school to work with Ridley Scott as his personal assistant on his film “Gladiator”. Maguy has been a personal assistant to Steven Spielberg, Brett Ratner, Antoine Fuqua, M. Night Shyamalan and Julian Schnabel.

The novel “Diving Bell and the Butterfly” completely captivated her, causing her to stop all that she was doing at the time to have the chance to work with Schnabel on translating the script to English. She also helped immensely with “Making-off”. In addition, she also worked on such inspiring projects as Mel Gibson’s “The Passion of the Christ” by translating the Aramaic Language to French for the lead actress of the project.

Maguy directorial debut came as an amateur at the age of five, when she made a silent short film.  In addition, she wrote and directed two other short films. Her first, “Berlin Wall”, was bough by Star Hub a German company. Her more recent short is titled “Einstein”.

Other projects she directed includes the award-winning documentary entitled “Diamond Angels”, received a medal from the Human Rights foundation in Sierra Leone in 2006. In 2007, she directed “The Lost Of Innocence”, which is a heart-wrenching tale about child’s circumcision. It was released only as a documentary for educational purposes throughout West African regions.

Maguy was referred by renowned director, Brett Ratner and Antoine Fuqua to Propaganda Media Group. In the past three years, she has been directing Asian, European and South American commercials. Her commercials include spots for Austin Martin, Cadillac, Mini Cooper, Volkswagen to Range Rover, Honda. She also learned editing by Joel Cox who is Clint Eastwood’s long time editor, assisting him in several films.

Now Maguy is preparing to direct a feature length psychological thriller entitled “Ruptured”. Following the completion of that production, she will be directing her first feature for SND M-6 a French love triangle, entitled “La Mécanique du Mal”. She has also sign a two-picture deal with SND.
